positive

Do you want to be a source of light and inspiration to the people around you? Maybe you've noticed that your relationships aren't as strong as they once were, or that people seem uneasy when you are around.

With a little bit of work, you can cultivate and spread positive energy that benefits not only you but everyone else around you!

1. Learn people's names

A quick way to get to any person's heart is to learn their name and use it. Our names help us confirm our worth as individuals, which is why we love to hear it. If you have trouble remembering names, you can use tricks like repetition, asking them to spell it out, or associating a person's name with something you will remember.

2. Listen to their stories

Deciding to have a more positive influence on people will only work if you are genuine. Ask people about their lives and actually listen to them. You can learn a lot about people when you actively listen and stop waiting for your turn to speak.

3. Do nice things without expecting anything in return

Life is hard sometimes, and some of us have learned to only do good things that can help us get ahead in some way. Try doing at least one good deed each day without taking credit or expecting anything in return and see how it makes you feel. You might notice others starting to react to you differently.

4. Don't take yourself too seriously

Nobody is perfect. Don't be afraid to own up to your imperfections, laugh at your mistakes, and move on. Being honest about your strengths and weaknesses makes you appear more grounded and easy to approach to those around you.

Conclusion

These four steps will help you build healthy and meaningful relationships with the people around you. After a while, you will notice how positive energy seems to follow you around everywhere you go.
